The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was formulated at Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri in March, 2014. As per directives of MCAER, Pune the Internal Quality Assurance Cell was revised as Internal Quality Assessment Cell and its composition was changed as per following table.

The IQAC acts as the documentation and record-keeping cell for the institution including assistance in the development of the API (Academic Performance Indicator) criteria as per PBAS (Performance Based Appraisal System), proforma using the indicative template separately developed according to UGC Rules and regulations common to all teaching / research staff members in the jurisdiction of the University. The IQAC scrutinizes all cases of promotion through Career Advancement Scheme and scrutinizes the applications submitted by the University Officers for the various posts outside University as per requirement.
