The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi has started the Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) in all 10 districts under jurisdiction of the university. In all total 17 KVKs are in operation in various districts of western Maharashtra. Out of the 17 KVKs 4 are directly under administrative control of the university, while, others are run by different NGOs and other institutes.
