The Agricultural Technology Information Centre has been started from August, 2001, at central campus of MPKV for disseminating Agricultural Information and Technology to the farmers and other stakeholders.

The programmes of ATIC are implemented under the overall guidance and control of the Director of Extension Education, MPKV, Rahuri. Agricultural Technology Information Centre is a single window delivery system of the University. Supervised by the ATIC Manager/ Extension Agronomist with four subject matter specialist viz., Agronomy, Horticulture, Animal Science and Dairy Science and Plant Protection. The services of Soil Science, Plant Sciences and other disciplines are made available from other department, research schemes and projects of university as and when required.

The extension activities like field visits, replying the queries of the farmers and other stakeholders, diagnostic services in coordination with other departments of the University are being performed by the ATIC. Besides, the seed and seedlings, bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, processed products and publications were sold through the ATIC to the end users. The university scientists attend daily on an average 150-200 call from the farmers.
